Sanya Bhushan

Sanya Bhushan brings a unique perspective through her background in Counselling and Organisational Psychology. Having obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Management Studies, and a Master’s degree in Work and Organisational Psychology from the University of Nottingham, she learnt to view organisational structures and the individuals who comprise them through the prism of a psychologist. She was able to apply these skills at Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives, a multi-ethnic organisation located in the Republic of Maldives. By working extensively with Management and the Human Resources department, Sanya was able to implement policies and strategies that focussed both on employee satisfaction and organisational growth.

Wanting to further develop her skills, Sanya joined the Masters in Professional Counselling program at Monash University in 2017. While studying the various modalities of counselling, Sanya volunteered at Persatuan SLE Malaysia (PSLEM), an organisation dedicated to providing resources and support to individuals diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. In 2018 she joined Integrated Psychology Network Sdn Bhd as a counselling associate where she began meeting with clients who were dealing with issues ranging from severe anxiety, depression, acute shyness, bullying and attachment disorders.

It was at this time that Sanya began looking on the impact of attachment on parenting styles and the resulting outcomes. She has also studied the implications involved in applying counselling techniques across different socio-cultural groups. In addition to being a keen researcher on psychological issues, Sanya also provides online counselling services in India.
